Abstract

November 2017, Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK) mengabulkan uji materi para penghayat agama leluhur atas pasal 61 ayat 1 dan pasal 64 ayat 1 Undang-Undang Administrasi dan Kependudukan (Adminduk) 2013. Putusan MK di atas merupakan tonggak penting advokasi pluralisme agama di Indonesia. Bagaimana rute dan jalan advokasi terhadap ragam agama, dalam konteks ini penghayat agama leluhur dalam sejarahnya? Menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, tulisan ini mengajukan argumen bahwa penghayat kepercayaan sejak kemerdekaan telah terbiasa mengadvokasi diri sendiri untuk memperjuangkan nasib komunitasnya di hadapan berbagai rezim. Peran aktivis LSM dan akademisi lebih sebagai sistem pendukung atas keputusan komunitas penghayat agama leluhur dalam menghadapi perubahan struktur politik dan politik agama sejak kemerdekaan hingga era reformasi.
